"Oh! Gorgeous state, you are a paradise!" ― William Chelcie Striker
ABOUT
Directly South of Whitefish sits Kalispell, a city of around 20,000 nestled in the mountains of Northwest Montana. And like Whitefish, Kalispell is permeated by natural beauty. It rests on the shores of Flathead Lake, and the summer months are universally enjoyed as a time of relaxation and celebration. Many people in Kalispell take advantage of the lake activities, but also enjoy getting out into the surrounding Mission Mountains for hiking, camping, and biking opportunities.
Kalispell is also a city of diversity. The Flathead Indian Reservation is home to the Confederated Salish and Kootenai tribes, who have long inhabited the area. And the natural wonders of the lake, along with Glacier National Park, bring in a wide variety of American and Canadian tourists. Because of this, Kalispell often hosts festivals and other forms of entertainment during the summer months.
